STUDENT SERVICES
What We Do
Student Services provides support and guidance to students experiencing challenges that impact them at school. These issues may be:
- Academic/Educational – At times, students have academic concerns in areas including study habits, expectations, time management, organizational skills. A Student Services staff person may assist students in exploring solutions to these and other academic problems.
- Personal/Social Counseling – We assist students to develop skills to interact more effectively with others, identify personal values, talents and interests and support students through the transitions into and out of middle school. Staff may provide support and assistance to students and families in crisis and can provide referrals to outside agencies for more extensive assistance including counseling, evaluations or treatment.
- Career/Vocational Counseling – A middle school counselor may assist students in the early stages of career exploration.
